If you’ve been applying for remote jobs without much luck... let me suggest one small change?
You gotta’ stop searching only “remote jobs.”
Deal?
It’s one of the biggest mistakes I see people make.
Most people type remote jobs into Google or LinkedIn and hope for the best.
Instead, I want you to start using terms like:
Work from Anywhere
Hiring Worldwide
Distributed
Remote First
Global
100% Remote
Async
We gotta’ think outside the box here to get the opportunities that aren’t popping up for everyone.
Those keywords often lead you to companies that were actually built to operate remotely… not companies that simply allow a few employees to work from home on Fridays.
It’s a small shift, but it can completely change the kinds of opportunities you find.

And here’s something else I want you to remember...
If you’ve never had a remote job before, that doesn’t mean you can’t get one.
I think that’s one of the biggest misconceptions about remote work.
I’ve helped people with career gaps, people changing careers, people outside the U.S., and even my own mom at 62… who hadn’t worked in years and wasn’t super tech-savvy get their remote jobs.
The people who succeed usually aren’t the ones with the fanciest or most advanced skills.
They’re the ones who have a plan, stop making common mistakes, Remotify their resumes, and stay positive throughout the process.
